My Niece's graduation

Hello All-

I can't believe it is June already!! Well Summer has officially arrived and it is starting to heat up a bit here in Fabulous Vegas! Our travel business is doing great!! Bob has been working so hard. We have started advertising online in the local paper as well as local places here and there.

There isn't a place we haven't visited that doesn't have our business cards proudly on display from our local Gym to my hairdresser. We just recruited a couple of people to join our team and that was very exciting!! We have had a few people book their travel with us and we are awaiting our first commission check!! All and all we are doing very well in this new endeavor and we are really enjoying our new business. www.ytbtravel.com/bobandbecky

Last month my niece graduated from Cal State Fullerton. She is the first of eight grandchildren to graduate from college and we are all so very proud of her. She now has her B.A. in Liberal Arts. She recently moved from California to Virginia where she plans to continue her studies and get her Master's in Education. I think she will make a fine teacher. Here you see a great picture of my sister Sylvia and my niece Cyndi.
Check back with us next month, and maybe I will have some birthday pictures. Yes, someone will be another year older next month. Heavy sigh. Take care, and we send our love to all of you from Bob, Becky, Gretchen, Baron, and of course Winnie.

Happy One Year Anniversary to us!

Hello everyone!

May has arrived with a new business venture for us. We have started our own business. It is a travel business check out our website: www.ytbtravel.com/bobandbecky. We offer travel discounts on flights, rental cars, hotels, cruises, and so much more! Check it out and see if we can help you plan a Let's get away trip! Or maybe you need to send someone you love flowers! We even offer concert tickets and sporting event tickets! We aren't trying to get rich quick, we are hoping to put whatever monies we earn into a retirement fund.

The end of April brought our one year anniversary! We spent a few days in Solvang California. For those of you who have never heard of Solvang it is a Danish town, near Santa Barbara. It is definitely not like Las Vegas! This tiny town closes it's doors at six o' clock in the evening!! We weren't too bothered by that though, we liked the peace and quiet and the time to ourselves. All and all we had a very nice time and we enjoyed ourselves very much! We did some wine tasting and we even joined a wine club. We will be mailed a new bottle of wine every month! We even scoped out some really great campsites for future camping trips in our camper. We got to take a horse and carriage ride, it was fun and romantic all at the same time.

New family Member

In April we added a new member to our family. We adopted an abandoned dog, we named him Baron. He is a one year old German Shepherd and Gretchen our other German Shepherd just adores him! The two of them get along great, and they spend most of the day playing together. Winnie, our miniature Dachshund still rules our house but all three of our babies get along and we are very happy!

New Blog!

Welcome to our new blog! I swear I am going to get the hang of this some day! I hope to post new updates every month. So be sure to check back month to month to see what is going on in the Ard family blog. In March, Bob and I went to visit my family in California. We got a chance to visit Universal Studios. We had a lot of fun there! It was Bob's first time. I got to take my picture with a Movie star! You might know him, Shrek? Bob took a picture with Jaws! The handsome man in the picture with me is my Dad.
